The prospective employee will possess all the following qualifications and experience:

  • Applicant should have a basic understanding of acoustics and general acoustical terms (e.g. Reverberation Time, Sound Transmission Class, dB/dBA, etc.); a background in acoustical testing methods/procedures is a plus.
  • Responsibilities include site or field acoustical testing/monitoring; maintaining testing equipment, calibrations, and repair records; providing support for consultants and designers; producing reports and spreadsheets related to acoustical testing and directed prediction calculations; create and perform acoustical analyses utilizing prediction software (SoundPlan, CATT Acoustics, and INSUL); prepare reports as necessary.
  • Experience with MS Word and Excel is required. Familiarity and previous use of AutoCAD and Revit is a plus but not required.
  • A degree in Architecture, or other audio related field is a plus, but not required.
