President
Cheli Myers has been with Wrightson, Johnson, Haddon & Williams, Inc. since its inception.  In addition to the 30 years experience with acoustical consulting firms, her previous experience includes marketing and sales in two separate industries.

While continuing her college education Cheli initially worked part-time when Wrightson, Johnson, Haddon & Williams, Inc. began as a small start-up company in 1990.  After completing her degree Cheli became a full-time employee.  Her responsibilities grew to include overseeing the CAD Department, project accounting, and the finances, accounting, and human resources for the firm.  She was named Production Manager in 2000 and Principal in 2002.  As Production Manager she is responsible for assessing the availability of resources to meet a prospective project’s requirements, selection of personnel for the firm’s projects, and coordinating those human resources and project deadlines.  As a part of project quality assurance, Cheli reviews project reports and works with Project Managers to identify issues/problems.  Should a significant issue arise on the project, she works with the Project Manager to resolve.  She conducts weekly Production Meetings with the design and marketing staff to ascertain project progress, verify deadlines, and assign additional resources as needed.    

Prior to her election as President of the company in 2010, Cheli was a member of the firm’s management team for several years with two of the firm’s founders.   Serving as an Officer of the company since 2005, she has also been a member of the Board of Directors since 2004. 

 As President, Cheli continues her Production Manager role, manages the day-to-day operations, as well as the legal, financial, and strategic planning of the firm. 
Jack Wrightson
Principal
Jack Wrightson has extensive experience in sports and public assembly work.  He has worked in the field of acoustics since 1978.  He specializes in assessing the needs of owners and tenants prior to design efforts.  His association with sports events and their venues has given him deep insight into the technical problems and requirements of high quality presentations and promotions.  Jack oversees Wrightson, Johnson, Haddon & Williams, lnc.’s work on sound systems, acoustics, and noise control, and the environmental noise impact of outdoor events.
Chris Williams
Principal
Chris Williams has provided technology consulting and design for many contemporary sports venues in the United States and abroad.  He has prepared programming studies, design recommendations and detailed design documentation for a wide range of technology including video, multi-media and teleconferencing systems, for corporate clients as well as the specialized sports and public assembly facilities markets.

Chris has been a pioneering systems designer working on unique aspect ratio video displays throughout professional sports in the last decade. Chris’ work with High Definition video displays began with Turner Field’s first Professional High Definition Display, while the most recent season saw the largest end zone scoreboard for the Jaguars and numerous football projects for Browns, Panthers, Steelers, Eagles and 49ers. Recently completed facilities include Yankee Stadium, CitiField, MetLife Stadium (New Meadowlands), Indianapolis Colts, Carolina Panthers and Dallas Cowboys

Josh Beaudoin
Principal

Mr. Beaudoin first joined WJHW in 2003.  Josh grew up working in the family owned general contracting business. After College he pursued his interest in electronics by working in the Electronic Security Alarm business, Professional Stage Lighting Production, and Professional Audio Engineering before returning to construction as an Audio Video Project Manager and systems designer. 

Josh has benefited from working in all aspects of the technology construction industry including Audio Video design build System integration and sales; Electrical Contracting; Audio Consulting and Professional Audio Equipment manufacturing and international business development.

This unique blend of experience has provided Josh knowledge of each discipline and process required to complete modern Stadiums, Arenas, and Convention Centers. His experience has given him a special insight into not only the consulting business but the entire construction process from equipment manufacturing, to system design; procurement, and installation; as well as commissioning. Josh also has nine years of sales and marketing experience. He has worked on several major professional stadiums and conventions centers as an equipment manufacturer, AV Contractor, Electrical Contractor, and Design Consultant.

Josh rejoined WJHW, as Director of Public Assembly and Large Venue Projects in 2010.  He actively pursues prospective clients, negotiates fees, develops strategic business relationships and manages projects for WJHW.    
René Garza
Principal
René leads the San Antonio office and performing arts group at Wrightson, Johnson, Haddon & Williams, Inc (WJHW).  As a Principal, René's focus is on building and maintaining WJHW's business and managing a wide range of projects.   

René's professional experience includes educational facilities (both K-12 and higher education), churches, corporate users and numerous performing arts theatres.  His hands-on experience with such a broad range of technical systems, combined with his understanding of the construction process and strength as a project manager, has given him a valuable insight into how all of these elements must work together in order to produce a successful project which meets and exceeds the clients expectations.
Kevin Day
Associate Principal

Kevin began his technical career in 1984 designing and building consumer electronics and has since been involved in professional sound system design, installation and operation for a wide variety of uses and facilities. He has successfully worked with professional and collegiate sports facilities, churches, theatres, and performing arts centers. Kevin has designed and installed dozens of sound systems for sports and entertainment venues as a contractor and as a member of the IBEW and IATSE trade unions, and has worked as an operator for many of the systems he installed.

Kevin has refined his consulting and design skills and continues to design audio reinforcement and recording systems for a wide range of projects using his knowledge and experience to bring thoughtful, efficient, and ergonomic designs to fruition. His knowledge of systems installation and operation, combined with his construction site experience, brings the perfect mix of education and hands-on experience to guide the client through even the most demanding construction or renovation project

Mark Graham
Associate Principal

Mark Graham has provided design engineering for professional audio systems from distributed speaker systems for large sports arenas and stadiums and a variety of other spaces, including meeting and convention center spaces.  Mark has also provided system designs for sound reinforcement and recording facilities for performing arts centers specialized to serve both dramatic theatrical presentations as well as musical performances.

Mark came to WJHW with a varied technical background. In addition to his design experience, his experience in project management and installation for a rocky mountain state integration firm enables him to customize his designs according to the client’s performance requirements and their budget parameters. He is also capable of commissioning systems and training users once the installation is completed.

Gary White
Senior Associate

Gary has been designing sound reinforcement systems for the past 21 years.  This experience has enabled him to advance and enrich his skills in project management as well as in the design of electronic systems.

Gary works closely with clients to assess their needs and requirements. Taking this information, he then develops systems which meet the expectations of the users.  He is involved throughout the entire design and construction process from system programming, design development, specification writing, construction administration, final testing and equalization.

Working in the field of audio since 1978, Jack has a long history of experience in the design of audio systems.  He has worked Sound Engineer for ten years at Stanal Sound providing touring sound for John Denver and Neil Diamond.  Also, Jack served as an Audio/Video engineer for ten years providing engineering and project management on large scale audio/visual installations. 
Bill Kistler
Senior Associate CTS-D

Bill Kistler has provided design engineering for audio and video systems from straightforward sound reinforcement systems to complex presentation systems, including videoconferencing. He has unique experience with user interface design and programming of touch panels.

Bill comes to WJHW with a vastly varied background. In addition to his design experience, his role as engineering department supervisor for a large East Coast integration firm has enabled him to customize his designs according to the budget parameters and cultural environment of the client. He is also capable of commissioning systems and training users once the installation is completed.

Brad Lundy

Brad Lundy is a Senior Associate with Wrightson, Johnson, Haddon & Williams, Inc. His primary responsibilities are project management for corporate facilities, training centers, churches, hotels, schools, judicial facilities, stadia and arenas, and convention & civic centers. He is also a design resource for large format sound systems, IPTV and AV systems
Greg Hughes
Senior Associate
Joining the firm in 2002, Greg has been an integral part of WJHW’s Acoustical Group. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering, Greg has worked on a diverse range of projects throughout the U.S., including college, university and K-12 education projects; public assembly spaces, arenas and sports facilities; hospitality and residential developments and corporate, civic and commercial facilities.
Fritz Schwentker
Associate ASTC ETCP CR–AT

Fritz brings his background and knowledge of theatrical production, gained at multiple varied professional and academic venues, to WJHW’s team. Throughout his career, Fritz has had hands-on experience with multiple aspects of entertainment technology and production, from programming and development of mechanical automation systems for live shows to technical direction and production management. His extensive background in technical design, experience with backstage operations, and knowledge of the core theatrical systems has given him a practical understanding of how a successful performing arts center operates. This depth makes him a key member of WJHW’s Theatre and Entertainment Venue consulting group. 

Fritz’s primary work at WJHW includes performing arts facility planning, rigging and stage equipment design, and project management for WJHW’s theatre and entertainment venue projects. He serves as the US Delegate to the OISTSAT Technology Commission and is a past Commissioner of the Technical Production Commission for USITT.

Todd M. Semple
CTS Associate

Joining the firm in 2005, Todd has been an integral part of WJHW’s Audio Visual Group. With a background in project management, Todd has the ability to provide expertise in developing, managing and coordinating successfully integrated audio visual systems in a diverse range of project types, including university projects, arenas, stadia and other sports facilities, medical facilities and operating rooms, private residences, and civic and commercial facilities.

Since 1987, Todd has been involved in radio, television, print, live music, digital video production and audio visual presentation production. These hands-on experiences coupled with his project management skills give him valuable insight into producing a successfully integrated finished space.

Greg Swindle
Associate

Greg comes to WJHW will a diverse background.  He has provided design engineering for professional audio systems and distributed speaker systems for a variety of spaces, including college arenas, NASCAR speedways, professional stadiums/arenas, and education facilities.  He has also provided system designs for sound reinforcement  for performing arts centers specialized to serve both dramatic theatrical presentations as well as musical performances.

In addition to his design experience, Greg’s experience in sound systems installation allow his designs to be customized according to the client’s performance requirements and their budget parameters. He is also capable of commissioning systems and training users once the installation is completed.

Jim Burdette
LEED AP Senior Consultant

Since 1989, Jim has been professionally involved with design for live and broadcast production.  Jim has designed sound reinforcement and audio production systems for a varied list of projects, consisting of entertainment, broadcast, arts, sports and worship venues. 

Jim’s early experience included mixing audio for his high school’s theatrical productions, mixing audio for a large church in the Columbus, Ohio area as well as working for a large A/V rental and installation company in Columbus, Ohio.  Jim moved to Texas, where he held the Director of Audio position for two large community oriented churches, The Potter’s House and Prestonwood Baptist Church.  Since then, Jim has spent the last 15 years as a consultant, whose varied background gives him a unique and diverse understanding of his clients’ specific needs

Michael Darby
Senior Consultant
Mike Darby has worked as a professional in telecommunications and structured cabling for 30 years as technician, designer, and project manager. In 2013, Mike joined WJHW as a Senior Consultant. Mike’s diverse experience includes work on network infrastructures to support data, telecommunications, WLAN, CATV, CCTV, access control, and security systems for varying facilities, as well as coordinated and managed LAN/WAN hardware and telecommunications equipment start-up services to accommodate facility cutovers and system upgrades.
Tom Falgien
Senior Consultant
With a unique combination of education and work experience, Tom brings a deep background and knowledge of audio and live performance technology to WJHW’s Team. Past employers include the Santa Fe Opera and The Denver Center Theatre Company.  Other experiences include establishing the Music Technology Center at the University of Northern Colorado, owning a concert sound production company, and AV contracting. Throughout his career, Tom has had hands-on experience with all aspects of performance technology and design. Tom has worked on a diverse range of projects throughout the U.S., including college, university, and K-12 education projects; public assembly spaces, arenas and sports facilities; performing arts spaces; civic and convention center facilities; as well as corporate and commercial facilities.
Justo Gutierrez
Senior Consultant

Justo joined WJHW in 2013 in his current position, bringing 13 years of industry experience as an engineer, designer, and manager for one of the leading audiovisual integration firms in the country.   He has worked on a diverse range of high-profile projects, specializing primarily on sound and broadcast systems for sports venues.  An innovative designer and consultant, he has the unique ability to quickly assess client needs, coordinate across multiple disciplines, and produce creative, budget-conscious solutions that meet or exceed expectations.

Projects include Yankee Stadium, Cameron Indoor Stadium, and Washington National Cathedral.

Justo was recognized in 2008 by Consulting-Specifying Engineer as one of the top “40 under 40” in the construction engineering community.

Jason Mirise
Senior Consultant
Jason joined WJHW in 2013, bringing 18 years of experience as a professional acoustician to the company.   He has worked on a diverse range of projects throughout the U.S., including hundreds of projects involving college, university, and K-12 education facilities; public assembly spaces, arenas, and sports facilities; hospitality and residential developments; and corporate, civic, and commercial facilities.
Mark Bavousett
Consultant
Mark is a Certified Protection Professional bringing over 28 years of experience in the design and engineering of electronic systems to the design team.  He has extensive experience managing the installation of large-scale security system projects, with experience that includes the design and engineering of access control systems, alarm systems, computer networks, closed circuit television systems, fiber optic networks, electronic door hardware, and fire/life safety systems.   Having developed an expert-level knowledge of video camera equipment, video transmission equipment and digital video recording equipment, Mark’s blend of technical knowledge, architectural design and construction experience uniquely equips him to provide technically advanced and cost effective solutions.
Scott A. Bray
Consultant
Scott comes to WJHW with a diverse background of live production shows, touring, and recording.  In addition to his design experience, his experience in project management and installation for MGM Grand & Technology West Group enables him to customize his designs according to the client’s performance requirements and their budget parameters.  Scott has provided design engineering for complex audio systems, video distribution and control systems.
Nick Dornford
Consultant

Nick joined WJHW in January of 2015 after spending fifteen years maintaining and managing broadcast electronic systems for the Miami Dolphins, the Pro Player Stadium and the Jacksonville Jaguars EverBank Field and ten years as the Infrastructure and Technology Manager maintaining and developing solutions for EverBank Field, The Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville, Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena, Prime Osborne Convention Center, Times Union Center for the Performing Arts, Jacksonville Equestrian Center and the Ritz Theatre.   

Experience with managing facility production and technology requirements for Super Bowl XXXIX, NFL Jacksonville Jaguars games, Florida Georgia college football rivalry, ACC Baseball Championships, NCAA 1st and 2nd round basketball championship games in addition to many large arena and convention events provide a unique perspective for design development.  

Chris Purpura
ASTC, LEED GA Consultant

Chris joined WJHW in 2010 after working for a theatrical design and consulting company in Indiana for seven years.  He has successfully worked with facility studies & operations reviews, performing arts facilities, renovated arts facilities, collegiate educational facilities, amphitheaters, sports facilities, convention centers, and multi-media facilities.   

Additionally, Chris has experience as a Technical Director and Scenic/Lighting Designer for various theaters and organizations.  He has provided technical and design services for several theatres in the Dallas area (Dallas Children’s Theatre, Dallas Theatre Center, Ballet Folklorico, etc.), the City of Topeka theaters (Helen Hocker, TPAC, etc.), several regional theatres in California, and with some touring productions.  The experience that Chris brings with him to WJHW allows him to meet the needs of clients in a unique and cost effective manner
Eric Lundquest
Senior Designer

Eric Lundquest has worked as a professional in telecommunications and structured cabling design for almost 22 years as technician, designer, project manager and engineering director.

In 2008, Eric joined WJHW as a Senior Designer. Eric’s diverse experience includes work on network infrastructures to support data, telecommunications, WLAN, CATV, CCTV, access control, and security systems for varying facilities, as well as coordinated and managed LAN/WAN hardware and telecommunications equipment start-up services to accommodate facility cutovers and system upgrades.

Emily Piersol
Senior Designer

Joining the firm in 2011, Emily has been an integral part of WJHW’s Acoustical Group. With a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Emily has worked on a wide range of projects throughout the U.S., including education facilities, arenas and stadiums, multi-family residential, civic performing arts centers, worship spaces, data centers, and corporate facilities.  Emily provides expertise for both design and testing in the areas of architectural acoustics and mechanical noise control, including being a member of the design team for several LEED certified schools.  She also specializes in environmental noise modeling for generator installation and outdoor sound systems in amphitheaters and stadiums.

Emily is a LEED Green Associate and a registered PE in the state of Texas.

Michael Murph
CTS-D Senior Designer

Michael joined WJHW in 2014 with a diverse background in electronic systems over his 20 year career. He started out as a component level repair technician and installer in two-way radio communications while also volunteering as a sound operator and keyboardist for his local church. Over the years, Michael expanded his systems knowledge and experience into satellite entertainment systems, home theater, House of Worship AV, and large scale sports venue sound systems while working as a systems integrator and contractor.

Michael is a jack-of-all trades that seldom has to hire a repairman or contractor. His hands-on construction and maintenance experiences give him additional perspective during the design process that helps mitigate conflicts between functional design and construction obstacles.

Christopher Ainley
Designer
Joining the firm in 2012, Christopher has been an integral part of WJHW’s Acoustical Group providing expertise in the areas of architectural acoustics, mechanical noise & vibration control, environmental noise and acoustical simulation and auralization design. With a Master’s Degree in Architectural Engineering, Christopher has worked on a variety of projects throughout the U.S., including education facilities, arenas and stadiums, amphitheaters, convention centers, civic buildings, worship spaces and community projects, corporate centers, and testing facilities.
Lawrence Bittok
Designer
Lawrence joined WJHW’s Audio Visual Department in 2008 with prior experience in the hospitality industry as an A/V freelancer.  Since joining WJHW, Lawrence has worked on a diverse range of A/V projects throughout the U.S., including universities, performing arts facilities, hospitality/hotel environments, sports arenas and broadcasting. Lawrence also actively works/volunteers at various events to provide AV/broadcast support.
Taylor Grossman
Designer
Taylor joined WJHW in the fall of 2014 bringing knowledge, experience, and a passion for sound system design. Taylor started working AV in high school at his local church where he ran sound, video and lighting for three years.  During his 2 year accelerated program at Full Sail University, Taylor pursued audio engineering with a focus on sound systems, installation and integration. After returning to Dallas he pursued freelance work as an audio technician with local AV companies, music studios, houses of worship, and performance venues. Shortly after, he was recruited into PSAV where he quickly became an in-house audio engineer for large corporate events for clients such as AT&T, Hilton World Wide, The Yellow Ribbon Foundation, and many more.
Cole Joiner
Designer / CTS
Cole Joiner has over 7 years of professional AV experience ranging from project planning, conceptual design, Construction design, integration, commissioning and service. He specializes in Audio & Video system design while keeping focus on owner & end-user requirements. His experience with all AV design and integration processes allow for unique insight into the technical problems and requirements of professional AV system implementation.
Daniel Riess
Designer
Daniel joined WJHW in 2015 after working at Texas A&M’s Sports Broadcast and Production Department, 12th Man Productions, where he worked as a broadcast and venue engineer.  He has successfully worked on Collegiate and Professional Sports Facilities.
David Vieira
Designer

Dave has worked in theatre and opera production since 2004. Originally from Arlington, Texas, the majority of his professional experience is in technical direction, rigging, and automation for universities, regional theaters, and Las Vegas showrooms. His most significant experience comes from the years he spent as the Assistant Technical Director for the Santa Fe Opera.  There he worked on realizing large-scale design for world class opera performance that has been re-presented at the LA Opera, Royal Opera House- London, and the Metropolitan Opera.

Dave earned his master’s degree studying a self-designed program blending Theater Design and Construction Engineering Project Management in the Cockrell School of Engineering at UT. This combined knowledge of construction-based project management and theatrical design and production experience makes him an ideal resource for project collaboration.

Kevin Walrad
Designer

Kevin Walrad comes to WJHW with over twenty years of experience in large scale Commercial, Banking, Healthcare, and Industrial security applications. He possesses vast expertise in design, installation, programming, and servicing of large scale, integrated systems comprised of Access Control, Bio-Metric verification, Intrusion Detection, Video Surveillance, and Security Program Consulting.

Kevin possesses a very strong knowledge of Local, State, and National Building, Life Safety, and Electrical codes; with experience in designing systems that meet corporate physical security objectives without compromising employee or public safety.

Heath Wells
Designer

Heath joined WJHW in 2013 after working in the freelance community for fifteen years.  He has successfully worked with facility studies & operations reviews, sports facilities, convention centers, and multi-media facilities.   

Additionally, Heath has experience as a Technical Director, Camera shading, television replay, camera operator.  He has provided technical and design services for several stadiums and arenas. The experience that Heath brings with him to WJHW allows him to meet the needs of clients in a unique and cost effective manner.

Charlie Campbell
Designer
Charlie joined WJHW in 2015 bringing over 20 years’ experience channeling multidisciplinary audio and visual expertise.  Most recently, Charlie served as an Event Technology Supervisor at a hotel/conference facility in Dallas where he provided his technical expertise, AV set planned, and facilitated AV programs for former U.S. Presidents, movie stars, fashion shows, and many Fortune 500 companies
